Overview

Found Signal (“we,” “us”) operates foundsignal.ca and publishes a free monthly email of emerging wellness products for retailers and buyers. We're based in Canada, and this policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We comply with Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and privacy law (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Your email address, when you subscribe. That's the only personal information we ask for.
• Email engagement — whether our emails are delivered, opened, or have links clicked. This helps us tell if the newsletter is useful.
• Standard request logs (IP address, browser, timestamp) kept by our hosting provider for security and operations.

How we use it

We use your email only to send the monthly Found Signal newsletter and the confirmation message when you sign up. We use engagement data in aggregate to improve the newsletter. We do not sell or rent your information, and we don't send you unrelated mail.

Consent & unsubscribing

We only email people who opted in. When you subscribe we send a confirmation link, and you don't receive the newsletter until you click it (double opt-in). You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or on our unsubscribe page. We honor opt-outs promptly.

Cookies & tracking

The website sets one functional cookie to remember that you've signed up so we don't show the form again. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our emails include a tracking pixel and wrapped links (via Resend) to measure opens and clicks; you can block remote images in your email client to avoid open tracking.

Service providers

We rely on these third parties, each with its own privacy policy:

• Vercel — website hosting.
• Supabase — stores the subscriber list.
• Resend — sends our email and measures delivery/engagement.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe anytime, and you can ask us to access or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@foundsignal.ca. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

Found Signal is a business tool not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
